Power to this type of module is generally supplied using some type of relay. System ground signals are most likely furnished via a chassis ground or central engine ground.

Should the system ground and voltage signals prove to be present, and gearshift control module output signals are not, suspect an internal malfunction in the gearshift control module. Several times the engine warning light comes on with a fault code; P throttle stop learning diagbox P throttle control valve,lower stop autocom I was found some code description for MM6LP system as fitted to EW10 and ET3 engines; Check motorised throttle unit and ECU software version.

Well this seems to be happening every frosty morning for me now, start it up, idles for seconds, then straight into an anti-pollution fault, I leave it idling for another 30 seconds or so, switch it off, start it up again and it's always perfect second time once it's heated up a tiny amount.

Any ideas? Just to update on this, I finally got round to doing a full service on the car yesterday, but I also removed the throttle body and cleaned it out with carb cleaner and put a new coil pack on, reset the fault codes with my scanner and now it's perfect, so I'm guessing it was the coil pack at fault rather than the throttle body.
